Round Seven 3/4

  • Apr. 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 AM
Bitch Please~
[Locked to Police Folk]

Eight of the twelve man jury bribed and had it not been due to this affecting one of our own, it would have slipped completely through the cracks.

As of this, there has still been no resolution with Dr. Yuuhi so she will not be attending to this matter from here on.  I will be flying out this evening for Paris, as offered before anyone who wishes to come is more than welcome to do so.  Called in one last favor and managed to sweet talk the Bureau into loaning out one of their fleet so that we can travel without trying to work around other passengers and being crammed into a commercial liner for the long flight.  It was also a precaution I figured best to have on hand bringing Luke back home, being as though his mental state is up in the air at the moment, and being thrown in with so many other people might only prove detrimental.

Anyone wishing to come, please meet at the airport by later then 6:00pm, unless it is the general consesus to leave as soon as everyone is packed.  There is survellience on Sophie's home just in case the broad's been alerted to the heightened awareness of her activities, just as a precaution and there will be no roadblocks once we land in Paris.  Our way has already been cleared by the local authorities so it is a simple matter of getting in to get the kid.

[OOC:  Shall we thread this out guys?  Or just say that it all went down? Let me know and I can toss up a thread if no one else beats me to it!]

Round Seven 1/2

Agent Mitarashi
[Locked to Police Folk]

This is a direct order from a superior officer.

If anyone is found to be assisting one Kurenai Yuuhi, you will be formally charged federally as hindering an on-going investigation, collaberating with criminal, and anything else I can throw at you, with additional charges to follow as I think of them.  All efforts are to be made to drag her ass back to San Francisco, where she will be put under guarded surveillence until it is deemed appropriate.

We are too close to let emotions run wild, regardless of what it is that she believes.  This is not something I wished to do, but my hand is being forced, and I will not allow her to get the child hurt, or herself for that matter.

Everything I told her in regards to her passport being suspended, her information being passed along to border patrol as well as Interpol, I have done.  I do not make idle threats.  I have sent out names and addresses to each of you to either go to or bring in for questioning as soon as possible, and from there, we move - but not until then.

Giggle
[Locked to Havoc, Kank, Riza and Roy]

THE CRAZY BITCH BOUGHT OFF A JUROR!  AND QUITE POSSIBLY MORE THEN ONE!

My meeting with Juror #6 - a.k.a. Camille Burton-, proved most enlightening.  Sophie didn't even use a go between, she directly sought out the woman and bought her off with $5k, paid in full after the verdict was rendered.  Annnnd, if that weren't damning enough, Mrs. Burton oh so kindly pointed me in the general direction of at least six other jurors who she suspected were also approached.

The D.A. wouldn't draft up charges on Sophie right off the bat, said he'd feel better if we could pin-point at least one or two more who'll turn over on the broad.  My guys have pointed out two more bank accounts with abnormal deposits within three days of the end of the trial, but that doesn't mean a lot when checks can be cashed on just about any street corner or if any of them (for whatever God forsaken reason), have any off-shore accounts.

So in short, I'll be e-mailing out the names of remaining jurors.  Anybody who can spare the time to go and have a little heart to heart with any of them, I would greatly appreciate it.  I'll notate which ones Burton suggested who were also paid a visit and we'll see who's eager to turn over.  The first ones willing to make our lives easier will only be facing a fine if they turn over easy enough, from there on, they DA's hinting at hitting them for all it's worth, just something to throw out there to make them squeal all the faster.

Round Six

Let Me Think On It
Running all of my normal background checks on anyone involved with the trial; court officers, all of that, turned up nothing. I've got probes out trying to dig up any and all dirt on Sophie and her expert witness, and even going out on a limb with the jury to see if there was anything suspicious with the selection procedure or anything of that sort as well as prodding into their histories and personal lives a bit.

[Private to Havoc, Kank, Riza & Roy]

I've not said anything to Kurenai yet for fear she'll hop onto the first available flight, but I have turned up one juror with a rather large deposit the day after the trial. I will be paying them a visit tomorrow as well as checking out the other juror's banking transactions to see if anyone else shows up with any anomalies.  Added in with these letters that Kurenai's been receiving, I think it's safe to say that we'll be bringing the kid back before too much longer, since I don't particularly care for coincidences.  Any of you that will want to come with and do not have a passport, let me know ASAP.  I'll take care of getting them processed for any emergency international traveling that might be happening soon.

I've not gotten a chance to really go through the older letters from Luke/Ryuzaki (what freakin' name are we supposed to be calling him anyway?), but with the font differences in this latest:   "I am chained to my bed.  Please hurry."

Round Five

  • Apr. 8th, 2009 at 2:41 PM
Alone
Thirteen DNA samples sent out for retesting and revaluation against case files. Eight grossly incomplete, lost or lacking testimony notes that could probably have done the job back in the day, but seeing as most of the people are dead or long moved away, it is nearly impossible to try and make contact to fill in the blanks.  Three cases with misplaced evidence.  Between all of that (and then some), and all of the dust and mildew that's contaminated all of the stuff I've been unearthing, I'm wondering if it's worth it at all.  And before anyone gets their panties all in a twist, anything I'm digging into is long before any of the current staff's time here.

I think I'm going to take a couple of days off for an extended weekend to escape back home for a few days. Even though I've got a neighbor who will pop in to check on things while I'm away for extended periods of time, I think I just need a few nights in my own place, surrounded by my own things and sleeping in my own bed. Plus it'll give me a chance while I'm up that way to nail down my loser of a boss and figure out just what in the hell is going on with this extension and when I can finally be given leave to return.

Round Four

I KNOW It Was You
It never ceases to amaze me that some people still feel the need to go crying to the people (or person in this matter), who really have no say or sway in things.  Kind of ironic when those same people are the ones who are awfully set upon themselves being so superior and quick to condemn others for being all talk.

It only makes me miss the agency even more.  At least there we've got no problems telling someone to go fuck themselves to their face rather then daintily skipping around anything face to face.

On a side note, I've found myself wandering down into the cold case file room, just trying to find something to do with my time since I'm stuck here.  I can't just sit idly about doing nothing, and since I kind of forgot to pick up some of that dye remover when I picked up the explosives, I can't scrub the stain off of where it splattered about, so I needed something else to keep busy with.  Hopefully a fresh eye will maybe close off a few of them?  It's better then nothing I suppose.

If anyone actually requires anything of me, I shall be in my office, working.  Since that's such an oddball concept around here.

Round Three

About to get PWND
There's something to be said for wasting a few extra bucks for an upgrade to fly first class. I could get used to that sort of thing all too easily~

I'm pleased to say there was no bloodshed, hair pulling or hired hit contracts that resulted from my last little rant, and all is right in my little corner of the world for the most part.

Got back in time with the time differences to make it out for some barhopping for St. Patty's Day. Of course I don't think I packed anything green, so golly gee~ I guess I'll just have to face the wrath of pinching fingers for my oversight. Celebration of green beer, midori sours and appletini's aside, after returning back to a letter from my home office, it would definitely be a boozing it up sort of night.

Mustang, I'm sure if you didn't get one today, yours will be coming tomorrow. Despite the wrap up on your major caseload, they've extended my stay here for another six weeks. I know that just completely makes your night as much as it does my own. ♥

Anyone out on the town tonight who needs a drinking buddy, hit a girl up~ That goes double for you Sarutobi, if you're not on call and stuck up at the station. Even if you are, let me know. Maybe I'll swing by with a couple bottles of Jameson's for the bucket brigade to make the night go a little quicker.

Round Two

  • Mar. 16th, 2009 at 10:31 AM
Alone
When I got sent down here for this job, playing fucking shrink and relationship guru sure as hell wasn't in the job description.

There are reasons why I avoid all this complicated relationship mess and stick with Mr. Right Now over Mr. Right. But, that's not for everyone if certain people would only do us a favor and pull their heads out of their ass before they make a big mistake.

Asuma, darling. Please save me? If you can pry yourself away from the bucket brigade for a while I would love to go a few rounds if you're not too scared. ♥ I need someone who can hold their own for a bit and you're the best one I can think of if you're feeling froggy enough.

[Edit]

Riza? Keep yourself open for next Tuesday. Mustang, you and Sabaku as well. Apparently there have been some birthdays missed and someone among you has felt the need to challenge my tolerance for alcohol so this must be remedied. If you still need an excuse as to why this should happen, we can celebrate the fact that no one's killed one another yet ♥

Round One

Eh?
So, virtually no bloodshed yet since my arrival - always a small success in any new assignment.  The three biggest headaches are easily going to be Pervert, the Pretty Boy and the token Idiot Leader.  Add in the fact that they all have capability of going off to holler for Mommy if I decide to try and make them work, and it just completes scenario.

Laying down this law right now boys, you've got an issue?  You come to me.  Leave your office shrink out of it because if she starts coming to me, it's only going to make me that much more bitchy.  She's got her work, I've got mine and that's that.  If we can all play nicely that's all the more sooner I get to leave y'all to your thumb twiddling.

On that note, Mustang?  We've got a problem.  There is only one other office aside from Yuuhi's and since her patient confidentiality thing is non-negotiable, you're going to need to come up with some sort of solution since I require privacy and the ability to shut out the rest of your guys so I can think.  So either you're going to have to go out there with them or you're just going to have to shuffle some things around to make room for me in your office.  If that's too difficult for you to decide, I'll be more then happy to make it for you.

And on a delightfully unrelated issue~

SARUTOBI!!!  You freaking shithead, I know your ass is hiding under some rock somewhere!  I'm gonna mop the floor with that stupid, Zombie-ass of yours when I get my hands on you!  What in the hell did you do!  Call me or get your ass to the Higurashi place so I don't have to hunt you down, cause that's only going to piss me off more.
